1) How long is your program?
We offer our services on a yearly basis. Students can stay as long as they need to reach their goals. We also offer a transition plan so that the students can live independently when they leave our program.
2) What do you expect the students to be able to do when they complete the Options for College Success program?
We expect them to have acquired skills for independence and be qualified to obtain a job in the area they selected.
3) How is this program funded?
Options for College Success is incorporated as a not for profit organization. Our 501(c)3 application is pending. We have no outside sources of funding at the time. However, we are applying for grants and private funding. Please contact us if you would like further information.
Our students can apply for college loans to cover certain of the costs of attending college. The student may also be able to use medical insurance to cover some of the costs.
4) Must a student live in the apartments?
We have day and residential students. The day students do not receive independent living skills and finance management services.
5) What is meant by tuition and costs?
Students pay to receive our services. There are also the additional costs of tuition at the college or school the student is attending, apartment rent, utilities, transportation, groceries, and spending money.
6) Is there 24 hour supervision?
We do not offer 24 hour supervision. We do have a resident advisor living in the same apartment building with the students. Other staff are also available for the students. |
